In this world, Bruce Wayne is new to the game. He’s young (early twenties) and inexperienced. He’s not the brooding man that we’ve all come to know, but trust me, what we’ll put him through will get him there. I think one of the problems with Bruce is that he’s been depicted fully formed once he took on the Bat mantle, and I’d like to play that differently. I want him to be the millionaire playboy; brash, cocky, and fully relishing life. He has a chip on his shoulder, but has realized early on that fear is his greatest ally, and he wears a costume that brings that fear to life - and he digs this. His exploits, though, turn him into The Batman we know. He learns the cost of fighting crime, and he suffers because of it - much like any man who becomes a soldier and sees combat. I see this as a real opportunity to take Bruce through a character and I’m not going to let it go quietly.
